Halkyn Castle Wood Education & Wellbeing
47 acres of protected woodland, where relaxation, inspiration, and mindfulness converge

Our Vision
Halkyn Castle Wood is the hub for alternative education and wellbeing in nature provision in Flintshire.

We work through collaboration with local authorities, agencies, third sector organisations and communities to provide quality, safe spaces, sessions and training to reconnect people to self, others and nature in a mutually beneficial way.

Managed access to our 47 acres of welsh woodland ensures that we safeguard people and support biodiversity and are working to become part of the National Forest of Wales.

Flintshire Forest Families
In collaboration with Campfire Cymru we provide Wellbeing in Nature and Forest School services for families with disabilities, neurodiversity and anxiety.
Nature Allies
Working with Flintshire County Council Youth and Progression and Y Teulu Cyfan to provide wellbeing and alternative education opportunities for parents of teens and families with teens that are struggling.

Nature Enterprise
Working with Flintshire County Council and Adult Learning we provide business enterprise, skills, numeracy and mentoring.
Woodland Wellbeing Volunteers
Some of our outputs benefit greatly from a team of volunteers assisting in the physical creation of some improvements to help encourage eco systems and our community to flourish thrive and grow.
